What is Fiqh?

Fiqh (فقه) is Islamic jurisprudence — the body of rulings derived from the Quran, Sunnah, scholarly consensus (ijma’) and analogical reasoning (qiyas). It is the practical science that tells a Muslim how to worship, conduct business, build a family, and navigate daily life.

Fiqh of Tahara (Purification)

Wudu, Ghusl, Tayammum, types of impurity — the rulings of purification are the gateway to all other acts of worship. Taught with clarity and practical demonstration.

Fiqh of Salah

Conditions, pillars, obligations, and sunnahs of prayer — ensuring every Muslim prays correctly, knowing the ruling behind each action and word of their Salah.

Fiqh of Fasting

Rules of Ramadan fasting — what breaks the fast, what is permissible, making up missed fasts, and the fiqh of i’tikaf and Laylat al-Qadr.

Fiqh of Zakat

Nisab calculation, types of wealth subject to Zakat, eligible recipients, and contemporary applications — essential knowledge for every Muslim of financial means.

Fiqh of Marriage & Family

Islamic marriage contract, rights and responsibilities of spouses, divorce rulings, and the fiqh of family life — taught with sensitivity and scholarly authority.

Fiqh of Business & Halal

What makes income halal or haram — interest (riba), contracts, trade, and the rulings on contemporary financial products from an Islamic perspective.
